what is LouFur?
LouFur is a group of artists from in and around Louisville, KY meant to connect and uplift the artistic community in the region!
who runs LouFur?
LouFur is led by a group of women and queer artists from Louisville, eager to create more opportunities for likeminded individuals and bring the local furry community together at in-person events.
Kodiyak
Kodi (she/her) is a part-time traditional and digital artist that has been making artwork for the community since around 2018. She started vending in the summer of 2025 and enjoys travelling across the country to meet new faces at every convention she attends! Kodi has been seeking out opportunities to give back to the community and acts as staff artist for a few conventions!
SkyTeaa
Sky (SkyTeaa) She/Her/AnySky is a born and raised LouFur who had a 6 year disappearance to California. She’s been working in the fandom for well over 12 years between art and social media picking up streaming in the 2020s. She is obsessed with all things soft and cuddly, spinning her business into designing and producing her own cozy plush line. Her fondest wish is to succeed with her own work so she can uplift other artists! A high tide raises all ships and that’s what she hopes to accomplish with these markets!
Leafe
Leafe (she/they) has been living in Louisville since 2020, but visiting for much longer! Their background consists of helping establish and run furry conventions, where their primary focus was helping art teams or run the vendor halls. She also ran a small art business for about 10 years and vended at a handful of conventions, but now just does art as a hobby! Their passion is building up communities, whether it be local or long distance, and is proud to be helping bring together a marketplace event for the local fandom.
Why are you running an art market?
We found that there is a limited amount of all-ages furry events in Louisville, let alone larger scale events within Kentucky as a whole. So, while cons take a large amount of manpower and resources to run, we thought an art market would be a happy medium that could continue to grow with the community it belongs to. We also hope to uplift local artists who may not have opportunities to share their wares or are facing heavy competition that hinders their ability to vend at our semi-local conventions, such as IndyFurCon or Nashum Fur Con. As individuals with backgrounds in vending and vendor services, we hope to create an event that is fruitful for both vendors and any attendees who come!
Say hello to the LouFur mascots!
Our mascots are based on animals commonly seen within Louisville!
